Mahindra has officially unveiled the XUV 7XO, a refreshed and more premium version of the popular XUV700. With a starting price of ₹13.66 lakh (ex-showroom), the new SUV focuses on enhanced comfort, advanced technology, and subtle design updates while retaining its proven engine options.

Positioned above the Scorpio-N, the XUV 7XO is aimed at buyers looking for a tech-loaded, family-friendly SUV with a premium touch.

Mahindra XUV 7XO Price in India (Ex-Showroom)

The Mahindra XUV 7XO is available in both petrol and diesel variants, with prices starting at:

  • Petrol (Base variant): ₹13.66 lakh

  • Diesel (Base variant): ₹14.96 lakh

  • Top-end AX7L Diesel MT: ₹22.47 lakh (introductory price for first 40,000 customers)

Prices vary based on engine choice, transmission, and variant.

Variants Offered

Mahindra is offering the XUV 7XO in six variants:

  • AX

  • AX3

  • AX5

  • AX7

  • AX7T

  • AX7L

Higher trims focus heavily on comfort, luxury, and technology, while lower variants offer strong value for money.

Interior & Technology Highlights

One of the biggest upgrades in the XUV 7XO is its cabin. The SUV features a triple-screen setup, giving it a futuristic and premium feel.

Key interior features include:

  • Three 12.3-inch displays (instrument cluster, infotainment, passenger screen)

  • Harman Kardon 16-speaker sound system with Dolby Atmos

  • Ventilated seats for front and rear passengers

  • Panoramic sunroof

  • Ambient lighting with multiple themes

  • Wireless charging (front & rear)

  • BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) mounting system

  • 8-way powered co-driver seat with Boss Mode

Mahindra has also introduced Alexa and ChatGPT integration, making the XUV 7XO one of the most tech-advanced SUVs in its segment.

Engine & Transmission Options

The mechanical setup remains unchanged from the XUV700, which is good news for reliability.

Engine options:

  • 2.0-litre turbo-petrol

  • 2.2-litre diesel

Gearbox options:

  • 6-speed manual

  • 6-speed automatic

AWD continues to be available with select diesel variants.

Ride Comfort & Suspension Updates

The XUV 7XO debuts Mahindra’s DAVINCI damper technology, designed to improve ride quality and reduce cabin noise. According to Mahindra, this setup offers better body control while maintaining comfort on rough roads.

Safety & ADAS Features

Safety remains a strong focus for Mahindra.

Safety highlights:

  • Level 2+ ADAS

  • Multiple airbags

  • Electronic Stability Control (ESC)

  • Hill assist

  • Front & rear parking sensors

  • 540-degree camera system (360-degree + underbody view)

Bookings, Test Drives & Delivery Timeline

  • Test drives: Starting January 8, 2026

  • Bookings: Open from January 14, 2026

  • Deliveries:

    • AX7, AX7T & AX7L – from January 2026

    • AX, AX3 & AX5 – from April 2026

Rivals in the Segment

The Mahindra XUV 7XO competes with:

  • Tata Safari

  • Hyundai Alcazar

  • MG Hector Plus

  • Toyota Innova Hycross

  • Maruti Suzuki Invicto

Final Thoughts

The Mahindra XUV 7XO builds upon the success of the XUV700 by adding more technology, comfort, and premium features without altering its strong mechanical foundation. With competitive pricing and segment-first features like triple screens and AI integration, it is clearly aimed at buyers who want a future-ready SUV.

If you’re considering a premium 5- or 7-seater SUV in 2026, the XUV 7XO is definitely worth a closer look.
